Ashton under Lyne RFC is one of the oldest clubs in Lancashire. Founded in 1884, with the exception of the periods of the two world wars, it has continued uninterrupted since then.

Directions. The club is situated at the north eastern tip of the Manchester conurbation, only 7 miles from the city centre and even less from the Yorkshire border.  Follow the M60 to Jn 23, follow the signs for Ashton then Oldham (A627) and at the traffic lights at the Peugeot  dealers (Robins & Day) turn right into Wilshaw Lane.  At the roundabout take the first exit, Alt Road, and find the club 400 yds on the right.
